601 smoke detectors use a wireless transmission path to connect to a node located on the addressable loop. Up to 125 detectors may be connected to the node.
The detector includes an internal sounder to provide a local alarm signal.
If the detector is removed from its base, a fault signal will be released to the control and indicating equipment. If the wireless transmission path is interrupted, the detector will operate as a stand-alone smoke alarm.
An internal battery provides 5 years of normal operation.
